What is this music?

It ranges from contempory, gothic, new-age, jazz, chanting, and everything in-between. Its an experiment in music, unlike I have ever heard.

Not only do I picture the indian chanting to me, trying to explain to me the history of his people, but I hear the priests in long-ago churches chanting their beliefs, while the people in their small european communities die of starvation and disease.
I hear a woman panting through some of the songs, "what is she running from?" I wonder.

So many things to hear in this music.
